It’s been a little over a month since we’ve heard any rumblings from the currently untitled sequel to SHERLOCK HOLMES but today we finally get a first look at Robert Downey, Jr. reprising Sherlock himself, Jude Law in his role as Dr. Watson and Noomi Rapace who is playing a French gypsy with no name as of now. Not a whole lot is known about the plot but we do know that Sherlock and gang will be trekking across Europe for at least part of the film and he will be squaring off with his arch nemisis Professor Moriaty who will be played by Jared Harris. Stephen Fry will also be in role of Mycroft Holmes which I guess is Sherlock’s brother? The release is set for December 16, 2011.
Like I’ve said before, Robert Downey, Jr. really can do no wrong in my eyes and his turn as Sherlock was amazing. I’ll be one of the first in line to see this sequel.
