First trailer from the Tekken Movie is released

Movies based on video games hardly ever work.  But movies based on fighting video games are next to impossible to pull off.  The closest success we’ve seen is MORTAL KOMBAT, but even that had a high cheese factor.  The next attempt to make it work is with the video game adaptation TEKKEN.  After viewing the trailer, I can say that this will probably not be the first movie to succeed in making the adaptation work.  The film is filled with a cast of little-know stars, including Luke Goss, Jon Foo, Gary Daniels and Kelly Overton.  The movie is directed by Dwight H. Little, who has previously only done TV work on shows like ‘Dollhouse’ and ‘Bones’.  No release date is set, but I have a hunch this may not even hit theaters.

On a side note, the actual video game ‘Tekken’ is a source of mass frustration for me.  I’m pretty good at all video games, but I really struggle with fighting games, most notably Tekken.  I don’t know what it is about that game, but I find it extremely difficult.  I need simple games, like Pong.
