Gangster Squad, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, is coming to Blu-ray in April

After all the drama and controversy surrounding the film, Warner Bros.’ GANGSTER SQUAD (click the link to read our review) hit theaters in January with a thud. Maybe it couldn’t overcome the drama or maybe it just wasn’t as good as we hoped it would be, but the film will have a chance for a new life on Blu-ray this April. Judging by the reaction to the film, I’d say it will do much better as a weekend rental, if for no other reason than its stellar cast should be enough for a lot of people.
Special features include a commentary by director Reuben Fleischer, Deleted Scenes and three featurettes: Tough Guys With Style, Gangland Files and Rogues Gallery: Mickey Cohen. GANGSTER SQUAD stars Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Robert Patrick, Anthony Mackie, Michael Pena, Sean Penn, Emma Stone, Nick Nolte, Giovanni Ribisi, Holt McCallany, Frank Grillo, Mirielle Enos and Troy Garity. The Reuben Fleischer directed film will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on April 23rd, 2013.
