Gwyneth Paltrow to join Mark Ruffalo in the dramatic comedy Thanks for Sharing

Over the years I’ve kind of gotten over Gwyneth Paltrow. Sure, she’s a great actress but she doesn’t seem to shine like she used to. I enjoyed Paltrow as Pepper Potts in the IRON MAN films and CONTAGION looks like an excellent film. I just feel like I need her to play a completely different character than any other one she’s ever played. Am I asking for too much? Maybe.
Paltrow was recently cast in THANKS FOR SHARING alongside Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins. NIP/TUCK’s Joely Richardson is also joining. In the film, Paltrow will play Phoebe, a successful businesswoman who falls for Ruffalo’s character. Richardson will play Katie, the wife of Robbins’ character.
The indie dramedy follows a group of unlikely friends who meet through sex addiction recovery. The ground is a little shaky as the friends try to have normal relationships. Stuart Blumberg will direct the script he co-wrote with THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT’s scribe Matt Winston.
