Halle Berry and Hugo Weaving are visiting the 70s on the set of Cloud Atlas

The Wachowski siblings have a thing for the odd when it comes to subject choice. Well, lately anyway. At first they were starting out with COBALT NEURAL 9 which was shrouded in mystery when it came to the plot. The name alone threw everyone off course. Then that was put aside for the adaptation of David Mitchell’s CLOUD ATLAS. This film immediately gained a super cast of sorts including Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Jim Strugess, Ben Whishaw and Susan Sarandon.
Each actor will play several different roles that will wind up in different places in time then eventually come full circle, each person relating with one another. It’s a little complicated. The first set photos show Halle Berry dressed in 70s costume and Hugo Weaving pops up as well.
Right now, the location of the film is an area in Glasgow, Scotland which has been set up to look like San Francisco in the 1970s.
