Henry Cavill will go from the Superman reboot to The Great Wall
Henry Cavill will probably end up being a huge star, especially if MAN OF STEEL is a success, but I’m having trouble getting past the awful, awful trailer for THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY. But maybe it was just a bad trailer, or maybe it’s just a bad movie and it’s not an indicator of Cavill’s talents. I’m sure Legendary Pictures and director Edward Zwick are hoping so since they’ve just cast him as the lead in the film THE GREAT WALL. The story focuses on, you guessed it, the Great Wall of China and all the mysteries that surround it. The idea came from Legendary Pictures chairman Thomas Tull and ‘World War Z’ author Max Brooks.
It’s hard to form too much of an opinion based on how little we know about the project, but I at least like the fact that it’s a subject matter that hasn’t really been explored before. Ed Zwick has some good films and hopefully, Henry Cavill will be a more polished actor by the time it goes in front of the camera.
