Henry Cavill, Zack Snyder and others talk Superman in a new Man of Steel featurette
We all knew that Warner Bros. would be partnering with any and everyone on the marketing for MAN OF STEEL, but I didn’t expect Wal-Mart to be one of the primary partners. But the superstore giant has money to burn and so the next time you’re at Wal-Mart picking up some toiletries or perhaps trying to find something to do in the middle of the night, you’ll see plenty of MAN OF STEEL merchandise. And one of the things you’ll be able to find is exclusive movie tickets to advance screenings. Yep, Wal-Mart is apparently in the movie ticket business now, so there’s that. To help get the message out, Wal-Mart has released a two minute featurette about MAN OF STEEL, featuring Henry Cavill, Zack Snyder and plenty of others (no Christopher Nolan, sorry) discussing Clark Kent and Superman and what he means to the world. I understand where they’re going, but I’m already getting sick of the deeper meaning Snyder and others are trying to jam down our throats with superman. Along with a new featurette, we have a couple of new banners for you, featuring Henry Cavill as Superman facing off against Michael Shannon’s General Zod.
MAN OF STEEL stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, Ayelet Zurer, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Antje Traue, Christopher Meloni and Laurence Fishburne. The Zack Snyder directed and Christopher Nolan produced film flies into theaters on June 14th, 2013. Man of Steel official synopsis: A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.
