Isla Fisher lines up new romantic comedy

I know I’ve said this before, but I think Isla Fisher is as cute as a button, but is not cut out to be a leading lady. I really enjoy her as an actress, but if CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC is any example, too much of her is not a good thing. But the folks at Universal don’t seem to agree with me as they’ve signed her on to the romantic comedy KISS & TELL. In the film, Fisher will play a woman that can see how long a relationship will last just by kissing a man.
At first glance, the concept seems pretty interesting, but after I thought about it, I realized that there’s not much they’re going to be able to do with it. Obviously, as soon as she kisses a man and sees the relationship lasting forever, the movie is over. Unless of course, she’s with that man, but has her heart set on another man with a relationship that won’t last as long. That could get confusing, but luckily, Hollywood rom-coms aren’t known for confusing plots, so I’m sure screenwriters Dax Shelby and Robert Stevens will keep it simple.
