Isla Fisher, Andy Serkis and Simon Pegg join John Landis's Burke and Hare

Simon Pegg is going back to his horror-comedy roots and bringing Isla Fisher, Andy Serkis and Tom Wilkinson with him in BURKE AND HARE. The film is loosely based off the true story of two gravediggers (Burke and Hare) that sell corpses to a medical school to earn extra money. Pegg and Serkis will play Hare and Burke respectively. Perhaps most interesting about this is that John Landis will be directing, who hasn’t done much since 1998’s BLUES BROTHERS 2000.
SHAUN OF THE DEAD is a great film, but aside from Pegg, it doesn’t seem like the same team is behind this one. The premise of the film also seems a little creepy to be a flat out horror-comedy, so writers Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcoft have their work cut out for them.
