Jack Black and director Michael Winterbottom teaming up for Bailout

I’ve really tried to like Jack Black, but no matter how many times I see him in a movie, I just can’t get to the point where I can tolerate him. I loved him in TROPIC THUNDER, but only because he was part of an ensemble and was basically making fun of himself. But I digress. Jack Black will be starring in the film BAILOUT for director Michael Winterbottom. The film is about a reporter that quits his job to gamble on an internet idea, only to find himself broke and desperate. Then, on a chance encounter with a group of stoners at a convenience store, he and his new friends hatch a crazy money-making plot.
The film is based on the novel ‘The Financial Lives of the Poets’ by Jess Walter. The funny thing about this is that it will be directed by Michael Winterbottom, who has done more serious films like THE KILLER INSIDE ME and A MIGHTY HEART. Filming on BAILOUT is set to begin this August.
