Jake Gyllenhaal may join Hugh Jackman and Melissa Leo in Prisoners
Jake Gyllenhaal is looking to add another project onto his growing list, this time with a possible re-teaming with director Denis Villeneuve whom he worked with on AN ENEMY. Now he is in talks to star alongside Hugh Jackman and Melissa Leo in the upcoming drama PRISONERS. PRISONERS follows a small town carpenter (Hugh Jackman) who is traumatized when his daughter and her friend are kidnapped. After seeking help from the local authorities to no avail, he decides to take matters into his own hands but hits a roadblock when a city detective comes to town to look into the disappearances. No word yet on what role Jake Gyllenhaal would take on, but it sounds like the script was tweaked which is why he is looking to join the cast. Shooting for PRISONERS is set to start early next year with a release later in 2013.
Jake Gyllenhaal can be seen in his recently released END OF WATCH which features him as an officer for the LAPD. (Playlist)
