James Franco is set to star in the thriller Good People

It looks like James Franco is making his way back into the news as it’s been reported that he has signed on for a new crime thriller called GOOD PEOPLE. Based on the novel by Marcus Sakey, GOOD PEOPLE follows the couple of Tom and Anna Reed who have had several failed attempts at conceiving a child and are now in serious debt. When they discover almost $400,000 in the apartment of a deceased tenant, they can’t believe their luck, until things start to go awry. Soon after their discovery the Reeds have to deal with drug dealers, robbers and cops who know they are keeping a secret. No word yet on who will play the female lead Anna, but expect to hear that in the next month or so. GOOD PEOPLE is being directed by Henrik Genz.
James Franco can be seen next in the upcoming film OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL from director Sam Raimi. OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL will hit theaters on March 8, 2013. (The Wrap)
