Jeff Bridges, Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan eye roles in He Loves Me

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE was one of those refreshingly original films that surprised a lot of people when it hit theaters in 2006. But that was five years ago and the films directing duo, Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris haven’t done anything to follow up their huge hit…until now. The duo is set to direct the very strange sounding film HE LOVES ME. The film feels like a retelling of WEIRD SCIENCE, but with more drama and teenage angst. It’s about a young writer that achieves success early on, but then has trouble duplicating his success. To help clear his mind and get his writing back on track, he writes a love letter to a fantasy woman. To his surprise, his writing brings her to life.
The film was written by actress Zoe Kazan and will star her boyfriend, Paul Dano. The directing duo is also eyeing Jeff Bridges for an unspecified role. Given the success of ‘Sunshine’ and the cast this film has already, it’s one we’ll be keeping an eye on.
