Jennifer Garner may star alongside Matthew McConaughey in The Dallas Buyer's Club
Jennifer Garner seems to be easing back in front of the cameras after her short leave to raise her kids, and her newest upcoming project will be THE DALLAS BUYER’S CLUB. THE DALLAS BUYER’S CLUB is based on a true story and will follow Ron Woodroof (Matthew McConaughey) who has been diagnosed with AIDS in 1986. When doctor’s only gave him a few months to live, Ron decided to take matters into his own hands and jumped into the world of underground pharmaceuticals that supplied HIV/AIDS drugs that were not approved by the FDA. This resulted in Ron extending his life and the lives of others effected by the disease. Jennifer Garner will play the female lead, Dr. Eve Saks, though I’m not sure if she was on board with or opposed to Ron Woodroof’s methods of drug acquisitions. Production for THE DALLAS BUYER’S CLUB is set to start this month in New Orleans so stay tuned for further final casting announcements.
Directed by Jean-Marc Vallee, THE DALLAS BUYER’S CLUB will star Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Gael Garcia Bernal. Expect to see this in theaters sometime next year. (Deadline)
