Continuing with their early marketing strategy, Lionsgate/Summit debuted the first trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE today during the MTV Movie Awards (does anyone still watch that?).  It’s probably not as much as you were hoping for (no Finnick), but given we’re still seven months away from the film hitting theaters, I think we should just be thankful we got anything at all.  I’m sure there will be a much better trailer featuring Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) back in action soon and from the looks of things, there’s plenty of action and drama in the second installment.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is set to star Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair) Stephanie Leigh Schlund (Cashmere), Jenna Malone (Johanna Mason), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy), Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee), Jeffrey Wright (Beetee), Amanda Plummer (Wiress), Lynn Cohen (Mags), Jeffrey Wright (Beetee), Alan Ritchson (Gloss), Bruno Gunn (Brutus), Meta Golding (Enobaria), E. Roger Mitchell (Chaff) and Maria Howell (Seeder). THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be released in theaters on November 22, 2013.
