Jennifer Lawrence beats out Rooney Mara and Blake Lively for David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook

One of the “must have” roles for young actresses was the female lead in the upcoming David O. Russell film SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK. The usual contenders were present and vying for the part including: Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Elizabeth Banks, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams and Olivia Wilde, but guess who has pretty much beat them out and is now the frontrunner? That would be Jennifer Lawrence, because she wins everything these days.
SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK revolves around Pat Peoples (to be played by Russell favorite Mark Wahlberg), a former teacher who has just been released from a mental institution and moves back in with his mom to get back on his feet. While on a quest to enjoy the simple things in life and see the “silver lining” in all situations, Pat becomes friends with his depressed, widowed neighbor to played (maybe) by Jennifer Lawrence.
Right now no deal has been set because Lawrence is busy taking down tributes in THE HUNGER GAMES, however, when everything is settled and contracts have been signed, she may just be shooting SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK this fall with Russell and Wahlberg.
