Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper get character posters for American Hustle
I don’t think I’d want any of these character posters hanging up on my wall, but today we get new teaser posters for AMERICAN HUSTLE, with each one featuring one of the film’s A-list stars. I’m not sure AMERICAN HUSTLE is awards material, but it looks like a great time and from the first trailer, each star seems to really get into their character. AMERICAN HUSTLE is set to star Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Louis C.K., Amy Adams, Robert De Niro, Jack Huston, Michael Pena, Alessandro Nivola, Elisabeth Rohm and Jeremy Renner. The film used to be called ‘American Bullsh**’, but that title was dropped for obvious reasons. AMERICAN HUSTLE is directed by David O. Russell and will have a limited release on December 13th and a wide release on December 25th.
The AMERICAN HUSTLE official synopsis: A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock the States, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Irving’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, “American Hustle” defies genre, hinging on raw emotion, and life and death stakes.
