Jennifer Lawrence could welcome Jena Malone and L'il Romeo to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Looks like casting for the character of Johanna Mason is still underway as today we learn that Mia Wasikowska has dropped out of the competition and actress Jena Malone has joined the fight against Zoe Aggeliki. For those unfamiliar with the sequel to THE HUNGER GAMES, Johanna Mason is a previous victor of the games who hails from District 7. She becomes allies with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and has a significant role in THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE as well as THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY.
In other news (if you can call it that since it’s so vague), L’il Romeo (Romeo Miller) has said that he had a meeting with Lionsgate about appearing in one of the upcoming THE HUNGER GAMES films. He states, “I actually just met with Lionsgate about that, so you may be seeing me in one of the ‘Hunger Games.’ That’s all I’m saying. Not a particular role, we just had a meeting, seeing if it was something I was interested in. I can’t really talk too much, or they’ll kill me. You know how ‘The Hunger Games’ is.” I honestly can’t think of a role in which L’il Romeo could display his, um, talents, but if any of you fans out there want to weigh in that would be great.
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be directed by Francis Lawrence and will star: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson. THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2013. (EW/MTV)
