Jennifer Lawrence stands alone on the new poster for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

A new poster for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is here and it features star Jennifer Lawrence and her trusty bow basking in a nice sunset with the tagline “the sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand”.  I’m at a little bit of a disadvantage since I haven’t read the books, so I don’t know if that’s taken directly from Suzanne Collins’ novel or if it’s something that screenwriters Michael Arndt and Simon Beaufoy added in.  But it definitely sounds like something someone from The Hunger Games world would say.  Check out the poster below and decide if this is going to be hanging up in your room any time soon or if you’ll be holding out for something better.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is set to star Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair) Stephanie Leigh Schlund (Cashmere), Jenna Malone (Johanna Mason), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy), Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee), Jeffrey Wright (Beetee), Amanda Plummer (Wiress), Lynn Cohen (Mags), Jeffrey Wright (Beetee), Alan Ritchson (Gloss), Bruno Gunn (Brutus), Meta Golding (Enobaria), E. Roger Mitchell (Chaff) and Maria Howell (Seeder). THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence and will be released in theaters on November 22, 2013.

The official synopsis: THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour’ of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
