Jennifer Lawrence stars in the first Joy trailer

The teaming of star Jennifer Lawrence and director David O. Russell seems like a match made in heaven. The two have combined for SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK and AMERICAN HUSTLE, both of which lead to Oscar nominations for each of them. Their next collaboration looks like more of the same, with Jennifer Lawrence being the center of attention and clearly the lead in JOY. The first trailer is set to the Rolling Stones ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ and plays more like a music video, but it’s enough to get me excited to see what they have in store for us. Russell directed film hits theaters on December 25th.
