Jessica Biel may join Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine

It’s been reported (though not confirmed) that Jessica Biel has been offered the role of the villainess Viper in the film THE WOLVERINE. According to the comics, Viper was originally a nemesis of Captain America but later became a lover of the Silver Samurai and was thwarted in an assassination attempt by Wolverine (to be played by the hunky Hugh Jackman). Viper apparently doesn’t have any mutant powers, but is just really good at killing people and usually does it with a snake-esque weapon.
It’ll be interesting to see whether or not Jessica Biel ends up taking the role as this would be a pretty good career move for her. THE WOLVERINE is being directed by James Mangold (KNIGHT AND DAY, 3:10 TO YUMA) and will also star: Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima.
