Jessica Chastain joins Emma Stone and Charlie Hunnam in Crimson Peak
While the world waits to see if Guillermo Del Toro’s big budget summer blockbuster PACIFIC RIM is going to impress audiences this summer, Del Toro is busy lining up his next big directorial effort, CRIMSON PEAK. We don’t know much about the film, only that “it’s set at the turn of the century and it is a gothic romance with ghosts.” (Del Toro’s words, not mine). It sounds interesting, but it could range from something simple to something huge and complex. You just never know with Guillermo Del Toro. But the big news today is that hot off the heels of Benedict Cumberbatch joining the project, Jessica Chastain has also come on board, making for a pretty impressive cast.
CRIMSON PEAK is set to star Emma Stone, Charlie Hunnam, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain. The Guillermo Del Toro directed film doesn’t start shooting until early 2014, which, depending on the amount of special effects, means we may not see CRIMSON PEAK it until the summer of 2015.
