Jessica Chastain, Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf in new photos from Lawless

Jessica Chastain and Tom Hardy in Lawless

Photos for upcoming films are rolling in and today we get two new glances at the John Hillcoat film LAWLESS. As you can see there’s another shot of Jessica Chastain and Tom Hardy displaying some verbal banter and then there’s Shia LaBeouf who doesn’t look too threatening with that gun, but I’m sure he’ll wow us in the film. It’s just weird seeing him with a gun instead of an over sized robot.

LAWLESS follows three bootlegging brothers during the days of prohibition and how they tried to avoid skirmishes with the law. Directed by John Hillcoat, LAWLESS stars: Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, Guy Pearce, Gary Oldman, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, Jason Clarke, Dane DeHaan and Noah Taylor. It will be one of the featured films at the Cannes Film Festival next month and then will hit theaters on August 31, 2012. Keep in mind that this is one of two films with the title LAWLESS, the other one is from Terrance Malik and is completely different. (Kinopoisk)

In other Jessica Chastain news…It was speculated for a bit that Jessica Chastain would possibly be appearing in the IRON MAN 3 film, but that rumor has officially been squashed. Jessica Chastain herself went on Facebook and stated: “Sorry to say that Iron Man 3 isn’t going to work out. My schedule is jammed packed and I can’t fit anything else in. The press announced my possible attachment far too soon. I know many of you wanted me to be involved, and I’m so sorry to disappoint you. Hopefully there’ll be another Marvel film in my future. Shane Black and everyone on the IM3 team are really wonderful. I’m very excited to see the film when it comes out. xx.” A very sweet explanation from Jessica Chastain and although we’re sad to find out she won’t be involved with IM3, there are many other projects on her plate that look even better than this one.
