Jim Carrey in the teaser trailer for Mr. Popper's Penguins

A short little teaser trailer for the upcoming film MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS has been released and it looks sort of cute. The film follows a businessman (Jim Carrey) who ends up inheriting six penguins and has to turn his apartment into a wintery wonderland and his home situation starts effecting other aspects of his life. The movie is directed by Mark Waters and is an adaptation of a 1938 children’s book. The film also stars: Carla Gugino, Angela Lansbury, Ophelia Lovibond and Madeline Carroll. MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS hits theaters on July 17, 2011.
This looks like one of those kids films that will be fun for adults as well. I’m really hoping this will help reinvigorate Jim Carrey’s career. He hasn’t been on a lot of people’s radar for some time and hopefully with his performance in I LOVE YOU, PHILLIP MORRIS and this film it will get him some more really good and really successful roles.
