Joaquin Phoenix may show Abraham Lincoln how to slay a vampire

Joaquin Phoenix is contemplating his return to the big screen and one of the roles he’s up for is the upcoming vampire film ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. Phoenix is the front-runner to play Henry, mentor to Abe and who shows him the proper way to take down the bloodsucking undead with an axe. Twentieth Century Fox has met with Phoenix and said that the part is his if he wants it. ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER is an adaptation from Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel and will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov. We earlier reported that Benjamin Walker landed the role of Honest Abe and if Phoenix boards it would appear that a big part of casting is complete. ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER will be released in 3D.

I just can’t help but be excited for this film because this is how vampire films are supposed to work. As in, you slay the vamps not fall in love with them. Add Joaquin Phoenix to the mix and the potential for this film just skyrocketed.
