John Lee Hancock to make Electric Boy Genius
Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant
John Lee Hancock, who is best known for directing THE BLIND SIDE, has signed on to direct the upcoming Disney film ELECTRIC BOY GENIUS. The script has been written by Doug Wright and is about Ryan Patterson, a child prodigy that is described as:
While in diapers, he was stuffing knives into electrical sockets and learning the power of electricity the hard way. After he watched his father do wiring work on the family home, the youth mastered the principles of electrical flow. He was building robots by the time he was in high school and developing innovations like an electronic sign-language translator.
Right now, no one is attached to star in the film and no production schedule has been set. Hancock did a good job with THE BLIND SIDE but I think that was because he had a superstar in Sandra Bullock. So even though that was a win, he’s still responsible for THE ALAMO. I don’t think I’m the only one who thought that movie was bad.
