Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski in talks to reteam for Disney’s The Lone Ranger

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN director Gore Verbinski is in talks to reteam with his old crew in Disney, Jerry Bruckheimer and Johnny Depp for THE LONE RANGER. Depp has already signed on to play Tonto. Verbinski will not be directing the fourth installment of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES. His next project is the animated film RANGO, where once again he works with Depp who will be the voice of the lead lizard. Depp has basically reached the status where he can choose whatever he wants and Verbinski should count himself lucky that Depp continues to choose to work for him.
