Johnny Depp bringing Rango to Blu-ray

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that the animated film RANGO, featuring the voice talents of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Ned Beatty, Alfred Molina and Timothy Olyphant and directed by Gore Verbinski, will be available on Blu-ray July 12, 2011. The film follows Rango (Depp) a chameleon who accidentally winds up in the small town of Dirt, which is in the Wild West and is in need of a new sheriff. RANGO did rather well at the box office and pulled in nearly $120 million world-wide. It didn’t quite hit the budget (which was $135 million) but considering how bad some of these films have been doing at theaters this is pretty successful.

I heard that this particular film was a little more adult oriented than kid-friendly, so keep this in mind if you are planning on picking it up for the summer. Special features include:
