Jerry Bruckheimer is one of the most successful producers of all time, but do you get the feeling he’s a little worried about PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES? He had two giant failures last year with PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME and THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE and producers usually can’t handle too many failures in a row, even Mr. Bruckheimer. Disney will eventually lose faith. So he needs the fourth Pirates film to be successful in a bad way. So it’s no surprise that he’s doing everything in his power to pimp the film, including releasing the below clip on his own Twitter account.

The clip features a heavy dose of Jack Sparrow arguing with Blackbeard (Ian McShane) about jumping into a river to retrieve something. I don’t think it will change your mind one way or the other about whether to see this in theaters, but if you like Depp’s Sparrow, then it’s worth a watch. The film opens on July 7th.
