Johnny Depp set to star in Transcendence which is being co-produced by Christopher Nolan
It seems news on the Johnny Depp front has been sparse, but have no fear as he has a new project all lined up. It’s been reported that Johnny Depp has signed on for the directorial debut of Wally Pfister’s upcoming film TRANSCENDENCE, which was written by Jack Paglen and will have producers Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas on board. Details for the film are being kept tightly under wraps, but here’s what Pfister said about the film, “It’s a present-day science fiction film, a fairly big concept. It’s bigger budget — not as big as ‘Batman,’ but not independent.” Sounds interesting and if it has a name like Johnny Depp and Christopher Nolan attached, then you know it will probably be something that will be a must see. Production is set to start early next year so until then we’ll just have to wait for more casting news to come in.
