Jon Tenney joins Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively in The Green Lantern

For those of you that don’ t know who Jon Tenney is, he’s a seasoned TV actor that has appeared on several shows including ‘Brothers and Sisters’, ‘Without a Trace’, ‘Cybil’ and currently ‘The Closer’. Now he gets his big break in movies as he has just been cast as Martin Jordan in THE GREEN LANTERN. Martin, of course, is better known as our hero’s dad and will presumably be seen primarily in flashbacks. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett and Temuera Morrison. Martin Campbell is directing the film.

I don’t think the addition of Jon Tenney is going to sway the movie one way or the other, but I like the fact they got a seasoned actor to do what will probably be a small role. Everything about this cast and production so far is great and I think we’ll be in for a great movie. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17th, 2011.
