I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt is universally loved as an actor, since his days on ‘Third Rock From The Sun’ and even earlier. But the real question is; can Joseph Gordon-Levitt write and direct a movie that he’s starring in? Well, we’ll soon find out as the young actor has just completed DON JON and the first trailer for the film can be seen below. DON JON stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Brie Larson, Rob Brown and Tony Danza. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a quick cameo from Anne Hathaway and Channing Tatum. DON JON hits theaters on October 18th.
The DON JON official synopsis: In his directorial debut, writer-director Joseph Gordon-Levitt also stars as Jon Martello—a New Jersey guy who loves his family, his friends, his church… and his porn. When he meets Barbara Sugarman (Scarlett Johansson), a perfect “dime” with an infatuation with romantic Hollywood movies, they struggle to find happiness while wrestling with their respective ideals of what the opposite sex should be.
