Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen share some space on the first poster for Jonathan Levine's 50/50

When I heard that Jonathan Levine was directing a “cancer comedy”, I actually sort of cringed. Then I found myself cringing again when the film was titled, I’M WITH CANCER. I do not think of laughter when it comes to people with terminal illnesses. But when I finally saw the trailer and cast involved with the film, my mind was quickly changed.
Now titled, 50/50, the film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen. The plot is derived from the true story of Will Reiser, who actually wrote the film. The film tells the story of his battle and journey after finding out that he has cancer. In the trailer, Will (Levitt) tries coming to terms with the news that he has a 50/50 chance of living. His best friend (Rogen) tries to stay optimistic and help his friend through a trying and difficult time. The tone of the film seems more light-hearted than depressing, which is a nice change of pace when it comes to films that deal with these sort of subjects.
The first poster for the film shows Levitt shaving off his hair while Rogen cringes in the background. If you saw the trailer, the scene is actually there. It’s funny stuff.
