Joss Whedon favorite Alan Tudyk joins Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Every Joss Whedon fan knows Alan Tudyk, (FIREFLY and DOLLHOUSE) and I’m happy to report that he is the latest to join the cast of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. He will play Stephen A. Douglas who was in the Senate with Abraham Lincoln (played by Benjamin Walker). In the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, vampires have a large role in the Civil War and Douglas may be in cahoots with the bloodsuckers. ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov and will also star: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie and Robin McLeavy. The movie will be presented in 3D and opens in theaters on June 22, 2012.

I love Alan Tudyk and am so excited to see him getting roles in big films like this and TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON. He’s on the verge of errupting and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Joss Whedon will give him a part in the upcoming movie THE AVENGERS.
