Juno Temple commands the screen in the Dirty Girl trailer

An upcoming independent film you may or may not have heard of is DIRTY GIRL from writer/director Abe Sylvia who is making his directorial debut. The film is set in 1987 and follows Danielle (Juno Temple from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES), who is the “dirty girl” in her high school. After a little tiff with her family, she decides to run away with her classmate Clarke and their “flour baby” Joan. The trailer is full of fun 80s music and bad 80s wardrobes, but it looks clever and something that would just be fun to watch.
DIRTY GIRL hits theaters on August 5, 2011 and stars: Juno Temple, Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Mary Steenburgen, Elsie Fisher, Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam. Check out the trailer below.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Juno Temple is going to be one of those actresses that just skyrockets to stardom, much like Saoirse Ronan did after ATONEMENT. Which ironically enough, Juno Temple had a role in as well.
