Kevin Bacon may play the nemesis of Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in R.I.P.D.

It’s been a very good year for Kevin Bacon thus far as he’s had three good films (SUPER, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE) come out and another brewing on the backburner. Currently he is in negotiations to star alongside Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in the comic adaptation of R.I.P.D. The story follows a pair of deceased detectives (Reynolds and Bridges) who out find the murderer of Reynolds character. True to 2011 Kevin Bacon, he will play the villain who in this case is probably the guy that has killed Reynolds character. R.I.P.D. is set to be directed by Robert Schwentke and will hit theaters on June 28, 2013.

I still think this is a really cool sounding film and I’m even pleased Kevin Bacon may join the cast. I haven’t been one of his biggest supporters over the last couple of years, but he’s made me a believer once again with his success this year. Plus he’s making “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” so much easier for all of us movie lovers.
