Kevin Costner tries to save the Browns in the first Draft Day trailer
If you’re a football fan, or a sports fan in general, you know that the sports teams in Cleveland have always had a tragic history. Whether it’s MAJOR LEAGUE poking fun at the Cleveland Indians, LeBron James famously leaving the Cavaliers or the hapless, Browns, it’s tough being a sports fan in Cleveland. Well, Kevin Costner has had enough and now he’s going to save Cleveland football in the first trailer for the NFL
advertisement film, DRAFT DAY. The film actually looks decent and I love Costner in his sports movies, but it does feel like something the NFL put together. I guess that’s the price you pay when need them to support your film. DRAFT DAY stars Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Ellen Burstyn, Denis Leary, Frank Langella, Chadwick Boseman and Sean Combs, along with cameos from real football stars and sportscasters like Jon Gruden, Chris Berman, Rich Eisen, Mel Kiper and Deion Sanders. The Ivan Reitman directed film will hit theaters on April 11, 2014.
The official DRAFT DAY synopsis: On the day of the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver (Kevin Costner) has the opportunity to save football in Cleveland when he trades for the number one pick. He must quickly decide what he’s willing to sacrifice in pursuit of perfection as the lines between his personal and professional life become blurred on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with dreams of playing in the NFL.
