Director Joe Wright’s next film HANNA hasn’t even opened in theaters and he’s already hard at work on his next project ANNA KARENINA, such is the life of a great Hollywood director. Right now a couple of actors are in talks to join Keira Knightley in the film based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy. Jude Law and Aaron Johnson are circling unknown roles in the epic Russian love story about a young woman named Anna Karenina who leaves her passionless marriage to pursue her love of an office named Count Vronsky. The script is being penned by Tom Stoppard and is set to start shooting sometime this fall which means casting should be more definite very soon.
You can catch Wright’s next film HANNA which opens in theaters on April 8, 2011 and stars Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett and Saoirse Ronan. HANNA appears to be a very different kind of film for Wright who is most known for his period love stories like ATONEMENT and PRIDE & PREJUDICE.
