Kirsten Dunst to team up with Chloe Moretz in Hick

Current IT girl Chloe Moretz will be teaming with veteran Kirsten Dunst in the upcoming coming of age drama entitled HICK, which is based on a novel of the same name by Andrea Portes. The film will be directed by Derick Martini who previously directed the film LYMELIFE. The film has been described as a coming of age film that follows Luli (Moretz) who’s a 13-year old girl from Nebraska that runs away from her home and dead beat parents. She ends up in Las Vegas where she meets a drifter named Glenda who takes Luli under her wing. Dunst is set to play Glenda and Colin Farrell was initially set to take the lead male role but has backed out so it’ll be interesting to see who they will get to replace him. Shooting is set to start in February of next year.
I’m personally not a big fan of “coming of age” stories, but I do like Moretz and Dunst so I’ll go ahead and give it a whirl.
