Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron in new looks at Snow White and The Huntsman
There were a few tidbits of news surrounding SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN this past week. Talks of a sequel started to heat up with the idea being to focus on Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman character. And in an interview with an Australian news magazine Film Ink, Kristen Stewart got all the Twilight fans riled up when she started talking about her Snow White character. She said: “It is fairly common to have your story as a woman, even if you’re the protagonist, facilitated by all of the male characters. It’s so rare to have a female lead character being so proactive. She pushers her own story forward, rather then being affected by all of the outside elements. Hopefully we do that, I’m really proud to be a part of something like that. It’s always food for women to feel empowered.” The situation is kind of funny since Twi-hards just naturally assumed Kristen Stewart was making a dig at Bella, but it’s also funny because I wouldn’t consider Snow White an empowered woman. The Evil Queen maybe, but not so much Snow White. But anyway, there’s always so much drama going on with the Twilight fans, especially when it comes to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
The real news, of course, is that there’s a movie coming out in a couple of months that stars Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, along with Sam Claflin, Ian McShane, Bob Hoskins, Eddie Izzard, Nick Frost, Ray Winstone and Toby Jones. We’re all but guaranteed that before the film’s release, we’ll see plenty of pics, TV spots, trailers, banners and posters. Universal seems bound and determined to separate itself from the other Snow White film, MIRROR, MIRROR and of course, be more successful. You can catch Kristen Stewart’s open mouth in the Rupert Sanders directed film on June 1st, 2012. (Facebook)
