Kristin Davis is also in favor of another Sex and the City film

Just last week found out that Sarah Jessica Parker, who portrays Carrie Bradshaw, was open to doing another film in the SEX AND THE CITY franchise, and today we find out she is not alone. Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte York, has also expressed interest in a third film, but both her and Parker are adamently against doing a prequel which has been bouncing around Hollywood. As far as the prequel is concerned, she says:
Not so into the prequel movie, because we’re us and we’ve discussed our history in the show already so for all of our fervent fans who listen to what we say, why would we rewrite that? And then have like different people with our names? It’s kind of freaky.
Parker said something similar about the prequel, stating, “I don’t think we can pretend to go back. It’s creating two histories. It’s like, ‘Oh I didn’t know that about Carrie Bradshaw.'” This makes perfect sense that neither of these two actresses want someone else playing the characters they made iconic, yet both of them are willing to do another film and potentially drag their characters through the mud (again) so to speak. Personally, I think they should just quit while they can. In five years (which is when they could revisit SATC) nobody will care enough about Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha or Miranda to bother going to see them in another chapter of their lives.
