Kristin Kreuk and Rachael Leigh Cook to star in Vampire

I’ve never seen an episode of ‘Smallville’, so the only thing I’ve ever had to judge Krisin Kreuk on was the abomination that is STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN LI. It’s a shame because everyone that I know that likes ‘Smallville’ speaks very highly of Ms. Kreuk and felt she had a promising career. But I guess when your first movie is as bad as hers, it’s really hard to regroup from that. I’m not sure her role in the upcoming VAMPIRE is going to do anything to change anyone’s mind, but she, Rachel Leigh Cook, Keisha Castle-Hughes (WHALE RIDER), Adelaide Clemens and Trevor Morgan join the cast that includes Amanda Plummer, Kevin Zegers and Japan’s Yu Aoi. Iwai Shunji will be directing.
Zegers is the star of the film and he plays a school teacher that moonlights as a vampire that preys on suicidal young women. Of course, he falls in love with them all the way up to the point he kills them. I can’t say any vampire film would get my blood pumping, but one with a bad storyline and a b-level cast surely isn’t going to do the trick.
