Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz and Jamie Foxx star in the full trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained
I assume that the 10 second preview we showed you yesterday for Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED wasn’t enough for you, so here’s the full length trailer that you probably wanted in the first place. As you might have guessed, it’s pretty great. In the ten second clip, we knew that Leonardo DiCaprio was great and the full trailer below only serves to reinforce that sentiment. But Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz seem like they do well in their own right. I’m a little disappointed that we don’t get to see anything from Don Johnson, who supposedly wowed audiences when the 10 minute clip was shown at Cannes. The movie doesn’t come out for another six months, so I’m sure we’ll get see a lot more marketing leading up to the film’s release. There have been a few last second cast changes, so I’m guessing Tarantino still has a lot to do on the film.
DJANGO UNCHAINED is about a slave (Jamie Foxx) that is set free by a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz), who then teaches the slave to fight and shoot. Together, they team up to make their way back to the slave’s former owner (Leonardo DiCaprio), who happens to be a sadistic land owner and who also happens to still have the slave’s family. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, RZA, Anthony LaPaglia and Kerry Washington. DJANGO UNCHAINED hits theaters on December 25, 2012. I know all the attention right now is on THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, but everything I’ve seen so far of DJANGO UNCHAINED makes me think this will be the best movie of the year. Say what you want about Quentin Tarantino, but the guy churns out consistently great films. That, and I can’t wait to see what Tarantino does with Leonardo DiCaprio in an evil role.
