Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson to star in Empire State
Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are set to star in the indie film EMPIRE STATE. The film will focus on a 1982 armored car robbery that was thought to be the largest heist of its time. Dito Montiel will direct the film from a script by Adam Mazer. It’s almost surprising that Channing Tatum isn’t starring in the film since all of Dito’s previous films (A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS, FIGHTING, SON OF NO ONE) have all featured Tatum. All of which are decent films, so I’m at least interested in EMPIRE STATE.
This continues the planned world domination from the Hemsworth brothers. Liam can next be seen in the highly anticipated THE HUNGER GAMES and then has THE EXPENDABLES 2 later in the summer. As for Johnson (who might be the most inconsistent actor working today), he can next be seen in G.I. JOE 2: RETALIATION, also this summer.
