Lizzy Caplan joins Seth Rogen and James Franco in The Interview
If there’s an actress in Hollywood that should be more famous than she is, it’s Lizzy Caplan. From her time on ‘Freaks and Geeks” to her newest show ‘Masters of Sex’, she’s almost always the best part of whatever she’s she’s starring in. But for whatever reason, she hasn’t been able to find that true breakout role that can launch her into A-list status. But the good news is that she’s getting some steady work these days and she has just lined up a starring role in the comedy THE INTERVIEW with Seth Rogen and James Franco. Fans of ‘Undeclared’ might remember Lizzy Caplan had a guest spot on one episode back in 2001, but since then hasn’t been reunited with Seth Rogen. She was also briefly in 127 HOURS, so she’s worked with James Franco as well.
THE INTERVIEW will be directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, still riding the wave of success from this summer’s THIS IS THE END. The film will follow a talk show host and a producer that find themselves entangled in a plot to assassinate the leader of North Korea. Lizzy Caplan will be playing a member of the US government. Filming is set to get underway in a couple of weeks. (Deadline)
