Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade movie on its way to the big screen

Producers Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers are trying to get writers attached to make a film about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I know, I’m cringing too. The duo are planning on making a family friendly film about the famous parade with possibly floats coming to life, ala NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM. Sadly, Macy’s the department store is on board and actually said, “We are always searching for the next Miracle on 34th Street”. I think they should keep searching because this just sounds terrible. No word on when this monstrosity will get started, but we’ll be sure to let you know as it advances.
There are no words to describe how ridiculous this film sounds. I can’t believe movies like this are getting made, surely there are better screenplays and ideas out there. I know I shouldn’t judge before I see, but I’m really just having a hard time wrapping my head around this. The thought of a 10-story SpongeBob SquarePants springing to life freaks me out.
