Madisen Beaty joins Paul Thomas Anderson's next
Posted by: Zack Bruce
Last month, a list of potential actresses that Paul Thomas Anderson was interested in for his next untitled film (formerly THE MASTER) surfaced. Names included on that list were: Amy Adams, Lena Endre, Laura Dern and Madisen Beaty. All of these ladies have already been cast in the film except for Beaty, well, until today that is.
Beaty’s reps confirmed to The Film Stage that the actress is now a part of the cast. Beaty’s name may not automatically ring any bells, but if you’ve seen THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, she plays the part of a younger Daisy (Cate Blanchett). The role that Beaty will take on in PTA’s film is unknown. The rumor is that she will play the daughter of Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The film’s plot centers on a man (Hoffman) who returns after witnessing the horrors of WWII and tries to rediscover who he is in post-war America. He creates a belief system, something that catches on with other lost souls.
Joaquin Phoenix, Jesse Piemons, David Warshofsky and Rami Malek will also star.
