Man Of Steel gets a nice looking banner and an updated Superman logo
As the world gets ready for the onslaught of superheros this summer with Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor and others assembling in THE AVENGERS and of course the third installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise with THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, Warner Bros. wants to make sure no one forgets the (arguably) greatest superhero of all; Superman. So they decided to release a new banner for MAN OF STEEL via their Facebook page, just in time for the new timeline changes to the Facebook page layouts. I don’t know if we’ll be seeing this MAN OF STEEL banner hanging up in theaters, but I’d bet a dollar this will appear on a poster in the very near future. If nothing else, it’s a nice look at the logo, which remains relatively unchanged except for some tweaks to the color and shading.
Since the film is produced by Christopher Nolan, we don’t know much about the plot of MAN OF STEEL. Since we were paying attention during the casting, we know that the man of steel faces off against General Zod and at some point, grows a beard. Like I said, plot details are slim. When it comes to any Superman film, the pressure always falls on who’s playing the Man of Steel. I actually thought Brandon Routh did a great job in SUPERMAN RETURNS, but the film itself was a struggle. I wasn’t impressed with IMMORTALS and THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY looks almost unwatchable, but hopefully he’ll do fine in MAN OF STEEL.
MAN OF STEEL will star Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Ayelet Zurer, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Antje Traue, Christopher Meloni and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder is handling directing duties on the reboot with a close eye from producer Christopher Nolan. MAN OF STEEL hits theaters on June 14th, 2013.
