Mark Ruffalo may get his own Hulk movie after The Avengers 2
It’s funny to think that movies are planned 3+ years out, but it’s very common and a necessity when you have a franchise full of superheroes that you want to grow larger and larger. So that’s where we’re at today, talking about another possible Hulk film starring Mark Ruffalo as the charming Bruce Banner/ annoyed, angry and green Hulk. Producer Kevin Feige made a statement in a recent interview talking about such a film. He said, “Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in THE AVENGERS? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until THE AVENGERS 2 . So there’s a lot of time to think about it…I think there’s pitfalls of continuity-overload, and mythology getting so dense that it almost collapses in on itself. It happens every few decades or so in the comics. Apart from that, I’d say everything is on the table.” Kevin Feige isn’t wrong, especially when it comes to the Hulk. This particular superhero has had two movies based on him in less than a decade and both were pretty forgettable. However, it’s still nice to know that Mark Ruffalo’s version of the Hulk may get his due in about five years.
THE AVENGERS, directed by Joss Whedon and starring Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, will be available tomorrow (September 25th, 2012) on Blu-ray as well as 3D Blu-ray. Check out our THE AVENGERS 3D Blu-ray review tomorrow. (MTV)
