Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell are set for Daddy’s Home

Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell starred together in THE OTHER GUYS and apparently, it was so much fun they just had to work together again. So next up for the unlikely duo is the comedy DADDY’S HOME, but instead of putting them together, DADDY’S HOME will pit them against each other in what sounds like a premise ripe for comedy. However, I said the same thing about THE OTHER GUYS and although the premise was brilliant, I thought the execution left a little to be desired. That said, Ferrell and Wahlberg worked well together and their chemistry should only get better the second time around. Check out the synopsis for DADDY’S HOME below.

The official synopsis for DADDY’S HOME: DADDY’S HOME follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Will Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Mark Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids. The film will be directed by Sean Anders, who most recently directed HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 and THAT’S MY BOY. Shooting starts later this year.
